Great adventure, fame, and immense wealth—all this awaits the Black Hole Buccaneers . In this connoisseur game, players are tasked with collecting ancient collectibles from the orbit of black holes that were dumped there hundreds of years ago as humankind's garbage for final storage. Among the 99 cards, for example, are artifacts and relics with powerful effects, as well as toys that, while not particularly valuable in the year 2642, are in high demand by other species. In exchange, these toys offer their help to escape black holes into which players are drawn when the amount of space debris they have collected exceeds a threshold. The winner of Black Hole Buccaneers is the player who has best mastered the dangers of space and collected the most valuable items after three rounds of the drafting game .

Black Hole Buccaneers is a fast-paced drafting game that, thanks to a variety of card effects, not only constantly offers new situations and plenty of interaction with other players, but also presents the occasional difficult decision. In each round, everyone at the table plays one card and passes the remaining cards to their neighbor. Whoever escapes the black hole during the scoring phase of a round gets to score the collected items, thus bringing them a step closer to overall victory.
