Brothers is a clever tile-laying game for 2 to 4 players, designed by the renowned game author Christophe Boelinger. This tactical duel is all about skillfully expanding animal enclosures on a limited pasture.

About the Game

In the world of farmers, competition reigns: two brothers are vying for space for their animals. While one brother wants to house his Wabbitz in long, straight enclosures, the other opts for L-shaped accommodations for his Fresssäcke (literally "feed bags", likely a whimsical name for a type of animal). The goal is simple but challenging: the player who wastes the least space and places the most of their tiles on the board at the end wins the game.

How to Play

The game proceeds in two phases:

1. The Design Phase: Players take turns placing landscape tiles, thus jointly determining the shape and size of the pasture. This is where the strategic groundwork is laid.

2. The Occupancy Phase: Now players must place their specific enclosure parts (straight or L-shaped) on the area. Since space shrinks with each move, forward-thinking placement and blocking opponents are key to victory.

Especially interesting: After the first round, roles are swapped, so each player must master both shapes at least once.
