Imperial Miners is a board game by designer Tim Armstrong (Arcana Rising, Orbis) in which players build their mines using a clever card activation system. This standalone game is set in the popular Imperial Settlers universe and features beautiful illustrations, simple rules, and gameplay rich with combos and synergies between cards.
In Imperial Miners, players build their own mines by placing cards on their board. They begin on the ground floor and develop from top to bottom. Each time a card is added to the mine, it activates itself and all cards above it, rewarding the player with satisfying combinations. The cards belong to six different factions and offer different abilities. Players are free to mix different factions in their mines for better results.
Imperial Miners offers a high level of replayability thanks to its wide variety of different cards and progress bars that are added to the game during setup (3 of 6 in the box).
