Artifacts of History is the fourth expansion for Innovation. It focuses on unique artifacts from various eras, including well-known historical objects like the Declaration of Independence. These cards feature extremely powerful dogma effects, but are difficult to use.
Compared to previous expansions, Artifacts of History is more accessible. There are no fundamentally new mechanics on the cards. Instead, artifact cards are difficult to acquire, but unleash particularly strong effects. They primarily benefit players who are falling behind.
Some minor innovations are still included. One of these is the Coercion effect, which is similar to the Demand effect of the base game, but works in reverse: it affects players who have more symbols of a certain type, rather than those with fewer.
