New, previously unknown products quickly found their fans on the old continent: cocoa for sweet chocolate, long-lasting and nutritious corn, fragrant tobacco, aromatic coffee, and cotton for durable clothing. All these goods were immensely valuable and useful, and the European aristocracy paid high prices for them.

What is the game about?
In Mercatores, players take on the role of merchants whose goal is to accumulate as much wealth as possible. To achieve this, they invest in goods and trading infrastructure and then try to market them in the best possible way.

Invest in goods and trade infrastructure to maximize your profits. But beware: wise investing alone is not enough; you must also make optimal use of your acquired buildings and goods. Will you find the best strategy and drive your competitors out of the market? Will you win the recognition and gratitude of the people of your homeland? Ultimately, none of that matters; the only thing that counts is becoming the richest trader on both continents!
