A single-player card game where you take on the role of the knight Mordred, who embarks on a journey through the underworld, encountering all manner of lost souls and facing various temptations as he seeks to atone for his past and gain access to the higher realms of the afterlife. Will you manage to forge your path to the light, or will you plunge even deeper into darkness? The game is structured as a card-based gamebook with roguelite gameplay elements. It includes 60 hand-painted ink illustrations.

On your journey through the underworld, you choose from three cards with full-page illustrations each round: one to discard, one to place underneath, and one to play – to face the encounter hidden behind the illustration. The text on the back tells you what happens – based on your current state – and what changes you should record on your character sheet. You will try to get rid of points from your “sins” during your journey.

Along your journey you will find many interesting pieces of equipment and strange allies, and encounter lost souls of various knights and desperate creatures.

The game is very easy to play, but not easy to win. It focuses on narrative and attempts to create an immersive, almost cinematic experience, while the tactical element is not particularly strong. Replayability is moderate – not as high as a typical non-narrative dungeon crawler, but much higher than a standard gamebook.
