Smitten

Smitten is a cooperative micro-game for 1-2 players, released in 2022 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Stonemaier Games.

Working together with limited communication, players attempt to complete two identical 3x3 card grids. Each card is inspired by a Stonemaier game and illustrated by Vincent Dutrait. The game offers multiple difficulty levels, as well as separate modes for solo and two-player games.

The idea originated from Jamey's memories of comic collector cards from his youth, where nine cards combined to form a cohesive panoramic image. In Smitten, there is no fixed turn order: Instead, players signal whether or not they want to play a card. The card played contains an instruction for the other player to place a card. If this instruction is not followed, the game ends immediately.

The game comes in a paper envelope and is completely plastic-free and environmentally friendly packaged.
