Publisher's game description:
Kung Fu students, it is time to show Master Pun Chen Lo everything you have learned. The final test consists of an epic confrontation with fearsome animal forms: battle god-mantises, celestial dragons, majestic cranes, ferocious tigers, timid snakes, majestic eagles, and cunning monkeys. If you succeed, you will be rewarded with fragments of the Medallion of Harmony, which will allow you to ascend to the Tower of Harmony. The master awaits you at the top... Will you display superior kung fu, or will you fall victim to discord?
Tinco was designed by Gustavo Barreto and Alessandro de Oliveira and illustrated by Casa Locomotiva. It is intended for groups of 3 to 6 players aged 10 and up and takes about 20 minutes to play. The aim of the game is to collect cards of the same shape or color and capture fragments of the Medallion of Concord in order to ascend the Tower of Harmony.
In Tinco, there are no turns: everyone plays simultaneously. To assemble a set of five cards that show the same element—a specific animal or color—players exchange cards. These cards are never shown; only the number is announced. Once a player completes their Tinco (a set of five cards), they must quickly grab one of the medallion fragments lying on the table. The other players must try to collect more fragments to avoid losing positions in the Tower. After a series of rounds, the player with the highest position in the Tower of Harmony wins.
With its fast pace, Tinco challenges us to think quickly and pay attention to both our own cards and the cards we pass to our opponents. The deck contains the card Xi, Discord, which no one wants in their hand because it incurs penalty points. Therefore, players try to pass it to an opponent as often as possible.
Tinco is compact and designed for groups of up to 6 people. It also offers two game modes: Xing and Hong, depending on which set (forms or colors) you want to create during the game. This allows the difficulty level to be adjusted to the group (the forms are slightly easier to play as they require less visual acuity). An ideal game to share with family and friends, it will test your strength and balance. Ready to show off your best Kung Fu?
