Vanaheim: Level 1 Adventures

This is a version of Vanaheim that focuses on Level 1 adventures. It can later be upgraded to the standard version of Vanaheim (including the "Decisions and Domains pack") through the Level 2 & 3 Fame and Fortune expansions and the Level 4 & 5 Legendary Heroes expansion .

Four additional D6 dice are required to play, which are not included in the box.

A game of exploration, survival, and adventure with an open ending. You explore caves and dungeons to find treasures and defeat evil using various weapons, skills, and talents. Should you survive, you return to the safety of the city to recover from your wounds, find new quests, and expand your settlement.

The game is designed so that you can play it more than once with the same character to reflect on his trials and achievements as he gains fame and strength, much like in a role-playing game.

Therefore, Vanaheim's focus is on continuing the adventure, with friends or alone, rather than reaching the end. Unlike most dungeon crawlers, it's up to the player whether they want to venture further into the unknown or return and sell the treasures they've found. An immersive town phase brings a sense of belonging to the game and gives the player a base of operations that they can expand as their fame grows.
