The City Builder expansion supplements the base game Villagers and Villains. In City Builder, each Mayor receives 2 City Development Tokens. Mayors use these tokens to further develop their village by placing them on the new City Cards. Since 18 City Cards are supplied with City Builder, and only some City Cards are used in each game, players experience greater game variety.
During the game, Mayors gain additional game options by placing their City Tokens on any available City Card. Each City Card in the expansion grants unique abilities and provides up to 2 Mayors per card with additional points for the final score.
The City Builder expansion includes components and rules to increase the maximum player count from 5 to 6. It also includes 6 City Boards that give your village an identity, provide a quick overview of the game, and organize game components, tokens, and gold. The City Builder expansion also includes new game options: team play, cooperative play, and house rules for even more variety.
The base game Villagers and Villains is required to play!
